| Dumb Stuff it's fun to find out Bartholomew Richard Fitzgerald-Smythe, (or Mr Peanut) was born, in1916 in Wilkes Barre, Pennslylvania, created by Antonio Gentile who won a contest by drawing the now infamous peanut man with his spats and cane. By the mid-1930s, the raffish figure had come to symbolize the entire peanut industry. Mr. Peanut has appeared on almost every Planters package and advertisement. He is now one of the best-known icons in advertising history |
