| General Since some of the same questions from our first production meeting came up the minutes from #2 are in red. All parents who will be backstage with kids need background check, all crew needs background check. Set in the 1860's. |
| Set Unit Set, Play within a play Set pieces: crates 4 large 4 small?, 2 wine barrels, small wagon (child pulls), 3 poles with posters on them (Annie, Frank, Buffalo Bill Cody), Cyc, crank, riser, Chandelier, knife rig, merry go round rig. 2 poles for rigging tent, front part of curtain for "tent" on pulleys, platform SR to run "merry go round" Some type of wild west mural. Not sure of size yet. Can be painted on excess muslin or the drop cloth stuff left over from Hamlet.
Need to add to preproduction checklist- collars or rests for poles- 6 in all, 2 upstage on bleachers to centerstage and one each in front of proscenium.
Poles with muslin for projecting. Poles will go in holes to ground and will be 12 feet tall Muslin will stretch 15 feet wide and 9 feet high. Projections: (not in order of appearance) Annie get your gun title, Wild West Show, hotel front, box car with moving scenery, Michael presented a spindle that could work for the merry go round and knife trick Cyc is on 10. Backdrop for projections is still in line with baton 10 but is now mounted on two poles on the bleachers, not a drop. Will come forward for the box car scene. Still need to talk about "merry go round", knife trick, train car out. Figure out what type of fabric, how much and to dye or not to dye. Will test wether to paint or to dye, are ordering this week. Are ordering 100 yards. Will need bunting for front of stage and side of risers. Sertoma a possibility, although I think they did flags not bunting. Sertoma would be happy to lend us there bunting but 1.) they only have 4, and 2) will need it from June 30th to July 7th. Projections rough draft by June 11, 2012 and projected same day. Paint floor Monday evening June 25th. |
| Props 2 wine barrels 3 rifles that fire blanks Jeff Givens may have a contact who has some rifles we can borrow. Could talk to STI (a gun manufacturer in Gtown) Jessie will talk to a board member first about sponsorship, also Red's shooting range is a possibility. Bradbury Barrels are handcrafted from northern white cedar with ash hoops.
